Engine mount absorbs the shock loads and the vibrations of an engine. It keeps engine and transmission securely in correct place and helps them to work properly.
In addition to these functions Engine Mounts supports the torque and weight of the engine and transmission unit. It also balance of the vehicle's weight forces during cornering and acceleration-braking.
